Sometimes you need think-ie movies and sometimes you just need something fun. True Blood is fun. It's based on the Charlaine Harris Southern Vampire series, which is already a good time, but since it's translated by Alan Ball, it's darker and sexier. From imdb.com:
The series follows Sookie Stackhouse, a barmaid living in Louisiana who can read people's minds, and how her life is turned upside down when the Vampire Bill, walks into her place of employment two years after vampires 'came out of the coffin' on national television.
I loved season one and when it ended, immediately went to the library and read every book in the series. It's different, but like I've said previously, if I'm gonna escape that world needs to be as different as possible. And without kids. And basset hounds.
Season two looks to be amazing. And it's always fun to get wrapped up in a series.
